Monthly Educational Activities
We at Palampur Science Centre, Palampur apart from regular
gallery demonstration and shows, regularly celebrate and
commemorate various days and events that are socially,
scientifically and environmentally significant. On a particular day
or event, we organize different educational programmes for
students and general visitors. Participation in these activities is free
of cost. Generally, the local schools, NGOs and other social support
groups and aspirational children are invited by centre through
official channel i.e. invitation letter & email.
Innovation Hub Activities
To encourage the innovative young minds, Palampur Science Centre, Palampur has a well-equipped Innovation Hub. Innovation Hubs are conceptualized for the budding innovators. In this, all the necessary tools, equipment and material is made available for the realization of idea into patent able reality. Access to Innovation Hub is available at nominal charges. The members are offered orientation sessions on weekly basis, where they can learn about physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, electronics, mechanical & carpentry, astronomy and much more. Commemorative Programmes
Palampur Science Centre, Palampur observes various
commemorative days and event year along. On these special
occasions, we make people especially, students aware about the
significance of the days, try to identify the concurrent issues of
public interest and seek out their possible and sustainable solutions.
Community Programmes
Palampur Science Centre, Palampur actively engages with the
communities for their betterment and promotion of science in them.
Seminars, workshops, educational competitions, science
demonstration lectures and sky observation are some of the way
through which we get in touch with the communities.
Collaborative Programmes
Palampur Science Centre, Palampur collaborates with the other
prestigious educational & scientific institutions, NGOs working for
cultivation of science and scientific temperament, divyang
upliftment, child education, tourism promotion, agriculture and
other allied sectors for the betterment of society. Orientation
workshops, Science Seminars, Popular Science lecture, Science
Demonstration lecture are some of the wide range of collaborative
programmes.
Swachhata Programmes
Palampur Science Centre, Palampur continuously working for the
cleanliness and beautification of its premise and surrounding area.
All the facilities are properly cleaned on regular basis. The Science
Park and other areas are made beautiful by planting seasonal
flowering plants and their watering, trimming, pruning and weed
eradication is taken care of
Programmes for Girls & Women
Palampur Science Centre, Palampur always ensure equal
participation of girls and women in its each and every programme.
For women empowerment we do organize seminar and workshops
on different scientific and social themes.
Programmes for Divyang
Palampur Science Centre, Palampur take utmost care of the
Divyang and specially abled persons and continuously working for
incorporating science in their lives through specially designed
creative science kits and activities. We provide free entry and
assisted guided tours to the Divyang children.
